Royds Hall Riding School was founded in the 1950’s and has been with the same owners since 1973 and is well established in the local community for providing excellent riding tuition. We have recently moved into brand new premises, approximately 300 metres from the old site.

Whatever your experience and level of skill, Royds Hall Riding School has something for you. Riders of all abilities, from complete novices through to those of advanced skill, will benefit from our range of lessons. We are able to offer  private, semi-private & group lessons, catering for each client's individual needs. We can offer lesson to children as young as four years old.

Lessons are available during the day, in the evenings and at weekends.  All lessons are taught by suitably trained instructors, with the knowledge and experience to teach to the required level. 

Private lessons are for the benefit of beginner riders or people who require more concentrated tuition to improve their riding skills, Tuition is given on a one-to-one basis with the aim of achieving greater progress than may be possible during class lessons. Private lunge lessons are for clients who wish to concentrate on their own riding position. Group lessons are based on ability and are offered to adults and children.


Please note that we expect to ride in most weather conditions  therefore suitable clothing should be worn. We do ask that once a lesson has been booked that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you find it necessary to cancel to avoid a charge being made.


Royds Hall Riding School is approved by the Association of British Riding Schools.
